The microscopic world opens its doors to us with a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) on loan for only a short time to view objects at a magnification rarely seen first-hand.  We encourage you to bring  your own specimens in to view with the SEM. 

Seed Saving at Wautoma Library

ImageThe early bird gets the seeds at the Wautoma Public Library this Spring.  The Wautoma Library is opening a seed saving collection this Wednesday, April 9.  Seed saving libraries are cropping up all over the USA, including Green Lake and La Crosse.  The concept is simple.  Libraries provide small packets of heirloom seeds for patrons to check-out.  There is no due date; instead the library asks that patrons save a small portion o

A Shower of April Activities-Lego Club, Artsy Science, Earth Day Author Event, Culver's Poster Contest, BlackHawk Folk Jam, Movies, BookClubs, Poetry Month!

Prepare yourselves for fun, as April Showers bring a rainstorm of activities to the Wautoma Library!  First up, children’s programs.  On Mondays from 4:15-5:15, join us for Lego Club.  Lego club is open for 1st to 6th graders.  Legos will be provided for, but the imagination and creativity belong to you.  Each week our Lego Librarian will announce a book based challenge or theme that Lego club members will then create.  We'll take pictures of your creations so everyone can see and enjoy your crazy good lego skills.  We’ll also display a few of the finished works around the library until the
